Trump's relentless obstruction means that an impeachment inquiry is now the only viable option to reveal the facts and to hold him accountable.
Immigration authorities were expected to conduct massive raids across the country on Sunday to deport immigrants illegally in the U.S., but a morning tweet by Trump scratched the effort.
Impeachment continues to be a thorny topic for Democrats. For the most part, leaders of the party have argued that impeachment is a politically risky move.
The former vice president made controversial remarks about working with segregationists when he was in the Senate in the 1970s, which have earned him criticism from his fellow Democratic rivals running for president.
Professor Laurence Tribe agrees with George Conway's assessment that Nancy Pelosi is sending Trump the wrong message on impeachment.
"They come to represent their districts and their point of view, and they take responsibility for the statements they make," Pelosi said about freshman Democrats.
